Roles and processing scope
The merchant decides which retailer information to upload and publish. Studio8022 processes the merchant-authored directory to provide editing, import, export, draft history and storefront publication. Retailer contact information may include personal data, such as a sole trader’s public email or telephone number. Only supply information you have authority to use and make public.
Data handled by the service
Processing covers Shopify shop identity and authentication sessions, location details, settings, draft and published directories, temporary import previews and activity records. LocatorPilot does not request Shopify customer, order or inventory data. Browser geolocation is used in the shopper’s browser; precise coordinates and search text are not retained in application logs.
Providers and destinations
Shopify supplies authentication, platform billing and the theme app block/proxy. OVHcloud hosts the app. OpenFreeMap supplies maps; map requests expose the network information needed to serve tiles. Great Britain postcode/place searches are sent to Postcodes.io. Geoapify is a supported optional integration but is not currently enabled. Directions links open Google Maps when selected. UptimeRobot checks a public service-status endpoint without directory records. See the provider information.
Retention and removal
Import previews expire after 24 hours. Up to ten draft versions are retained for 30 days; activity and webhook receipts for up to 30 days; provider counters for seven days. Uninstall removes directory content, sessions and import records. Export any data you need before uninstalling. Copies a merchant or visitor exports remain outside the app.
